From our village to the world

01

Regional & village foundations

Dwarakapet is known for strong community bonds, fertile agricultural lands, and traditional Telangana rural life. The surrounding region was a heartland of the Kakatiya Dynasty (12th–14th century CE). Its governance, land management, and agricultural tank irrigation systems — Cheruvulu — laid the economic foundations for ancestral families in this belt.

02

Family roots & agricultural legacy

For generations, families of Dwarakapet cultivated paddy, cotton, and chili, playing vital roles in agriculture, local governance, and community stewardship. The Ekkati lineage shares in Northern Telangana’s vibrant traditions: Bathukamma, Bonalu, Sankranti, and Sammakka Saralamma Jathara, alongside local cultural and religious festivities.

Evolution & the modern diaspora

Later generations expanded into higher education, public service, technology, and engineering. From the late 20th century, family members moved to urban India and the United States — including Seetharam Reddy Ekkati, Anil Reddy, Naveen Reddy and Praveen Reddy and their family — bridging the rural heritage of Jayashankar Bhupalpally with modern global enterprise and technology leadership.
